Moving...Will be back...

We are mid-move.  We don't have internet service at our new house yet.  Today we are back at the "old" house cleaning, so I'm able to post a little something.  I will be back after Christmas.  A Merry Christmas to you!

Thanksgiving 2011

I apologize for the delay in updates.  Our family has actually been traveling, taking a road trip to Mississippi to visit Peter's family.  I started this post before we left and deleted roughly half of the pictures twice.  I admitted myself defeated and tried not to feel bad about the horrible neglect of my blog.  :)

That said, we spent Thanksgiving with our friends, the Oldlands, for the second year in a row.  I wanted to share the pictures before uploading the ones from our trip to the South.

Mrs. O, making the gravy.
The kids enjoyed a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

Our good friend, Evan, joined us for the day's meal and activities.
Sarah Grace with Elijah.

Mrs. O's deviled eggs!  See, Mom, I told you she'd have eggs.  ;)
Me, with my favorite little hip partner.

Everybody is just about ready.

Millie and Katrina.

The Oldlands have a tradition of taking a picture of the youngest child with the turkey leg.  Elijah didn't want to touch it at all, but he cried when I took it away.
 Football!

So much to be thankful for!

Pumpkins and Other Things

 The annual mess.  :)

They get very excited about coming up with original designs to carve.

 Eli is checking it out.

Sam thought up this heart design for Millie and offered to carve it for her.  Very thoughtful, I say.

 Argh.  Pirate pumpkin.

Calvin officially has a hole in his head.  :)  (And a scratch on his nose.)

Fun, intertwining carrots that came in our farmer's market bag of carrots.

 Watercolor art project for all...

 9 month old!

Look at that cheerful face.  He gets around very nicely on his own these days.

I found these three snacktime pictures of him that Amelia took.  Pretty cute.

 Laura (Ingalls) braids.

 :)

Last, but not least, I took these tonight.  Elijah was highly interested in the brussels sprouts that I was getting ready to cook.

Doing what he does best, checking it out for himself.

"Interesting.  But I don't think I like these leaves in my mouth."

Did you get enough of Elijah?  I can't get enough of him.  So much fun to watch him discover our world.  :)

Pieces.of.October.

Braids.

Sweet potatoes and peas, transformed into...babyfood!
Stored and ready for Eli's meals.  :)
Cookie making.
This is the waterfall at the Good Zoo.  We try to always take a picture there when we visit.  This time, JoAnn got to be a part of the annual picture.
