APPLE PICKING AT SIMMONS FARM

While mom and dad were here, we all went and picked apples at a farm in Pennsylvania. We've been patrons of Simmons Farm ever since we moved out east. The pictures were taken by me and some by my mom.

Beautiful apple trees

Dad :-)

It's really wonderful that the kids can participate and fill a bag themselves.

When we were done picking we visited the farm's petting zoo.

We also picked out some pumpkins to take home.

Last of all, the kids played in the "corn" box.

PLAYING IN LEAVES

You can't tell, but that mound of leaves in front of Amelia is Calvin all covered in leaves. Ben covered him and is trying to keep Amelia from uncovering him.
Out he comes to pretend he's a ghost and chase Ben around the yard.

Amelia has observed this and thought perhaps she could do that too.

There she goes.

Oh yeah, this is fun.

I'm just like my big brother!

MORE PICTURES OF GRANDPARENT TIME

This is a nice picture by itself, but even nicer if you know it was taken at Adam's Pinecreek Buffet and you have the memory of the wonderful dinner we had to go with it. On crazy day we put the kids to bed and after a few minutes went through the house banging a pot with a spoon, getting them up and putting them in the car to go get an ice cream sundae. Here are a few pictures of the pajama-clad kids at McDonalds.

GENERAL PHOTOS FROM PAPA AND GRAMMY'S VISIT

This is as good as it gets. 4 boys wrestling with Papa. The boys are in their pajamas here not because it is morning or evening but actually because it was crazy day. Crazy day is a tradition started by my mom to celebrate the birth of a new sibling. Each time we have had a crazy day we've done slightly different things, but we usually have dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner and wear our pajamas at unusual times. The boys are getting big. I think Papa is beginning to be overrun and outnumbered.

This is Papa "hiding." Haha.

Sweet baby.

This is a baby gift that mom and dad brought with them.

It is an adorable Sunday School promotion certificate that was given to my grandpa Larry (his original name was Junior Chester) in 1928. My parents had it framed for me to hang in the baby's room.

Here it is hanging in her room.

This was the other baby gift from Mom and Dad. Mom made Cecily a beautiful crocheted blanket that Millie is holding.

Papa enjoys his new little granddaughter.
