Ben has a neat, new cast to show off!
He randomly twisted his foot last week upon hitting a chair while running in the basement. We waited a few days, thinking it was nothing, but the swelling and pain didn't go away. Sure enough, he slightly fractured a bone in his foot and the Dr. decided to cast it to avoid the risk of him hitting it and causing a complete fracture that would require surgery. Really not a major injury, but he gets all the appearance of one! He's doing just fine. :)

Look at that smile, Benjamin. Do I say "oh ouch" or"congratulations"? In all seriousness, here is a hug and prayers for quick healing. Remember, mom and dad, establish a corner in the closet where you will stash orthopedic hardware (the black boot) for use the next time. This practice has saved me and my insurance company hundreds of dollars over the years. I was an accident prone kid and young adult.
Love to you all,
Kathy
The red cast looks good against the backdrop of the new deck. ;-)
Sounds alot like what happened with Ryan last summer. We too didn't know it was anything more than a bruise until 2 days after it happened. Cool cast, Ben!! ;)
