Less Than 2 weeks

Peter took this picture of me tonight. It's like you can almost see the baby curled up in there. It's exciting to think that he/she is nearly ready to make his/her appearance in the world and we can finally meet him/her!I have a lot to be thankful for. As I approach this birth, if you think of me, I thought of some specific things that I would love to have prayer for. Mainly, that I would trust Jesus in my hour of need. This week I'd like very much to spend extra time in the Word and prayer to be prepared spiritually. Pray that I would make time for that and that I wouldn't give in to hindrances. And then pray that I would indeed have faith as I walk through the delivery of this child, not forgetting the purpose of the pain. You could also pray that Peter and I can be steady for the rest of the children and minister to them in spite of the inevitable distraction of the birth and new baby. These are the things that feel bigger than me. I know that on my own I won't be able to accomplish them.

Nice picture! You're right, it's very easy to imagine the baby in there. :) I'll definitely be praying for you this week!

You betcha, I am praying for all of the above. Much love to each of you, Julie. I love the photo. That baby is smiling and saying, "I can't wait to be with my family and get to know the God who has protected me these 9 months." Oh, birth is so miraculous. I will be there in spirit.

Love, Kathy
