The third and last stop on our southern journey this January was in Mississippi, near Holly Springs. Peter's parents live there and his two sisters live within a short drive also.
What we did: Yahtzee with Grandpa Jerry...
...Memory Matching with Grandma Betty...
...watch Grandpa dance a jig with Grandma...
...coloring...
...play doh...
...and watch cartoons.
You can tell by the looks on their faces that they are enjoying the program. I think it was Tom and Jerry.
Quite a bit of time was spent outside, of course. The older boys spent most of their time fishing in the ponds on the adjoining property.
This is the view of that property. Ahhh...rural Mississippi. The landscape is idyllic.
The days were a bit chilly and so this was one of the few times that it was warm enough for Bronwyn to "play" outside.
We're all so thankful that the Lord provided the opportunity for us to spend these sweet days with Peter's Dad and Mom. It means so much just to be in their company and for the children to get to know them. This was the real goal of our trip and the Lord worked everything out for that to be the case. Peter's mom has been chronically ill for about 11 years. Her improvement since the last time we visited was remarkable. It was such a delight to see her doing activities with the children, talking and eating with us. She was unable to do any of these things last time. We found much to be thankful for in this time of fellowship.

Rejoicing with you that you were able to re-connect with loved ones down South and the children were able to forge relationships with Peter's family. Praise the Lord God brought you home safely, now with many new memories!
Indeed, the most precious of visits. Looks like there is always fun when the Jones' family gathers. I am just awed by the beauty of these properties. And I love to see the love your children have for each other. You are putting some might nice and Godly people into this world and I find tears in my eyes when I think of it. I do love you.
