SUNDAY AFTERNOON CREATIVITY

Sam used some of his free time on a Sunday afternoon to create a catapult out of tinker toys. I had fun watching him demonstrate it for me.He used half of a plastic Easter egg to hold the amunition. He taped it on with yellow electrical tape as well as the bag of magnetic weights at the other end. The idea to weight the end was his own. Peter gave him the idea to add a sort of trigger.
When the "trigger" is moved to the side, the weights cause the egg end to catapult up and release whatever amunition it contains.
I like this picture because you can see the marble coming out.
"And, mom, it can also be a pipe!"

Dad said that he could see that Samuel is really thinning out and growing taller. Good use of free time in my opinion. Very creative Sam!
